                                                                                                            BYLAWS

Article I.           Fees and Dues
Sect. A:                 Dues shall be $150.00 per year for a family membership.  Initiation fee shall be $50.00 per family membership.
Sect. B:                 Delinquent Dues
  1. Any member whose dues are delinquent for more than thirty (30) days and any past member and/or dependent, applying for renewed membership, shall pay 50% of the initiation fee, plus the current year’s dues for continued membership.
  2. Any member, whose dues are more than sixty (60) days delinquent, shall be dropped from the club.  The member can be reinstated with a vote of the membership and by paying 50% of the initiation fee, plus the current year’s dues.
  3. Temporary hardship (hardship meaning – a delay in payment of dues) cases involving dues may be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration.  Any member may request a 180 day delay in payment of dues.  If dues are not paid within the 180 days, Section B will apply.
Sect C:                  Dues shall be paid on or before October 1st.
  1. Members with dues not paid on or before October 31st will be considered delinquent and shall be governed by the provisions of the Constitution and Bylaws.
  2. All persons proposed for interim membership shall immediately pay the prescribed initiation fee and dues for the full current year if joining prior to April 1st or initiation fee and one half year’s dues if joining April 1st or later.
  3. The initiation fee shall be returned if the interim member chooses not to advance into permanent membership within the established time limits.  Initiation fee and one-half (1/2) dues, if paid for a full year, will be returned if permanent membership is denied due to rejection by the club vote.
  4. After a proposed member has completed interim requirements and is sworn in, that person becomes a club member retroactive to the date the person was proposed.
Sect. D:                 Any person becoming delinquent on dues and/or assessments shall not attend meetings or have the right to vote.
Sect. E:                 Any new interim members may join the 1st of August, paying the following year’s dues.
Sect. F:                 Life Membership
  1. Any member after achieving 25 consecutive years, in good standing paid memberships, may be submitted for Life Membership to the Tacoma Trail Cruisers in writing by any member and read by the club secretary on the floor on the first meeting in March or September.
  2. Voting shall be by secret ballot, with 2/3 majority of all votes cast necessary for passage.  All Life Members shall be required to pay a yearly fee plus taxes (see a, b, c, and d below) as yearly dues to keep their membership in an active status.
  1. Life Members elected prior to September 1990  will be required to pay $0.00 annual fee
  2. Life Members elected after September 1990 will be required to pay the $10.00 annual fee
  3. Life Members elected after September 2005 will be required to pay a $20.00 annual fee
  4. Life Members elected after October 1, 2012 will be required to pay one half ( ½) of the current years dues
Sect. G:                Bylaw Additions
  1. Funds necessary to maintain the Sunshine committee shall come from the treasury.
  2. Members using personal outdoor fire pits are required to dispose of ashes and/or charcoal briquettes within the designated established fire pit ring.  Any members caught dumping ashes on any green belt will be charged a $50.00 clean up fee.  Their membership to the Tacoma Trail Cruiser’s will not be renewed until all fines are satisfied.  No exceptions.
  3. No unoccupied RV’s, campers, tents, trailers on the property during below listed Holiday Weekends and Smuggler Event, Memorial  day, 4th of July Labor Day, Smuggler.
  4. No trailer RV vehicle and/or tent shall be stayed in for more than 16 consecutive days without being vacated for a minimum of seven days.
  5. No RV’s trailer, campers & or tents to be left unoccupied in the parking spaces from the kitchen to the outhouse at anytime. Except 2 weeks prior to smuggler.
  6. Any pet outside of a member or guests RV trailer vehicle and or tent shall be required to be on a leash, tether, and or in a kennel/secure enclosure at all times. Any pet that uses TTC property to relieve themselves, said owner is required to clean up after pet by use of plastic bag and disposing of in garbage not tossed in the woods. Any member or guest who chooses not to enforce these rules will be given two reminders of rules upon third occurrence pet shall not be allowed on TTC property.
  7. Any member who does not abide by TTC rules and By-laws shall be given a warning. 2nd offense member will be required to appear at a board meeting to discuss their further membership with the TTC.

Article II.        Meetings
Sect. A:                 Dates of Meetings. 
The Board meeting of the club shall be on the 2nd Monday of each month.  Regular meetings shall be held on the fourth Monday of each month.
Sect. B:                 Time of Meetings.
 All regular meetings shall be held at 7:00pm.
Sect. C:                 Place of Meetings. 
The meetings will be held at the Tacoma Trail Cruiser’s Club House at 1114 South 48th St, Tacoma WA  98408

Article III.    Order of Business
Sect. A:                 In all regular meetings of the club, the order of business shall be as follows:
  1. Call to order and pledge of allegiance to the flag
  2. Reading of the minutes of the previous meeting and their approval
  3. Treasurer’s report
  4. Visitor’s introduction
  5. Correspondence, consideration and disposition of bills
  6. Board of Director’s meeting report
  7. Reports of committees
  8. Proposals for membership
  9. Old business
  10. New business
  11. Adjournment

​Article IV.     Parliamentary Authority
​
Sect. A: All questions of Parliamentary law or procedures not covered by this Constitution or Bylaws will be governed by the latest published edition of Robert’s Rules of Order.
