Welcome To The 51st Annual Smuggler Poker Run!

We are so excited that you will be joining us for the 51st Annual Smuggler Poker Run! 
This 2-Day event, located in Capitol Forest, is part of the NMA Poker Run Series. Bring the family and ride these epic trails for one or both days! There are tons of prizes, concessions, and more!

Gates open at 8AM on Friday July 31st 2026. There will be no access to the facility prior to that. As you arrive please have your ID ready and the registration team will get you checked-in and parked in your camp spot. Friendly reminder, if you are under 18, you must  be accompanied by an adult to enter the property and take part in the event.

Smuggler Course Information

Riders meeting Saturday & Sunday promptly at 8AM.

LONG COURSE SIGN-UP:
​7AM-9AM

FIRST Bike out Long Course: 8:30AM
LAST Bike out Long Course: 9:00AM

Long Course (Bikes Only) - Approx 55 miles of mostly trails for Bikes only, for experienced riders.
​
Gas Truck for the long course leaves the Main Gate at 8:30 AM (Limited space 2 gal. cans only)

Saturday and Sunday

SHORT COURSE SIGN-UP:
7AM-10AM

​​FIRST Bike out Short Course: 9:30AM
LAST Bike out Short Course: 10:00AM

Short Course (Bikes, 3 & 4 Wheelers) - Approx 30 miles of trails and logging roads for intermediate riders.
​
​All 3 & 4 wheelers to be released after last 2 wheel bike is out.

Saturday and Sunday

INTRO COURSE SIGN-UP:
7AM-11AM

LAST Bike out Intro Course: 11:00AM

Intro Course (Bikes, 3 & 4 Wheelers) - Approx 12 miles of mostly logging roads and light trails for riders new to poker runs.

Event Information

For All Smuggler Poker Run Riders:

9201 Sherman Valley Rd SW, Olympia, WA 98512
  • Entry Fee:​
    • ​Mail/Web Pre-Entry: $40.00 per day.
    • Same Day Entry: $45.00 per day.
  • Weekend camping available $50.00 for the weekend per site. (Space is limited)
  • Day parking: $10 Fee payable at event (exact cash preferred).
  • Gates open at 8 AM on Friday, July 31st.
  • Gates close at 6 PM on Sunday, August 2nd.
  • HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL MOTORIZED VEHICLES
  • ORV Tags or Street licensed Bikes and SPARK ARRESTORS must have manufacture name and number. No exceptions.

Prizes:

To be awarded at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, August 2nd, you do not need to be present to win.
  • Need not be present to win - check website for list of winners with instructions.
  • Tacoma Trail Cruiser members are not eligible.

  • Start: 4:00 PM - Last Bike out 4:30 PM
  • Marked Course - approximately 3 miles/ Must have adult present!

RV sized spaces for Weekend Camping at Tacoma Trail Cruisers and partner facilities will be available to purchase online. If you choose not to camp with us, click the button below for suggestions on alternate camping locations.

Know Before You Go

Making The Most Out Of Your Weekend:

  • 2 days of riding the epic Capital Forest trail system.

  • Shop for merch at Tacoma Trail Cruiser and vendor booths.
  • ...and don't forget the memories memories memories!!!

Camping Facilities:

  • ​​Gates open at 8 AM on Friday, July 31st 2026. There will be no access to the park prior to that.
  • Gate closes at 6 PM sharp on Sunday, August 2nd 2026.  Please make sure that you're loaded up and headed home before 6pm.  We'll see ya next year!
  • Onsite Pre-Paid Weekend Camping Spaces are 14x40.  Your rig and belongings must fit in the that space.
  • If you're hungry, stop by the Tacoma Trail Cruisers Kitchen for a Barn Burger (with bacon... shhhhh).
  • Its usually scorching hot and dusty in August, so be sure to bring plenty of water for both on and off the trails.
  • Need a Restroom? No RV? No problem! If you just have a trailer and need to use the (eh-hem) facilities, we'll have plenty of Sani-Cans available for you to use on-site.
  • PLEASE pick up after your dog's poo.  While dogs are allowed, stomping in a giant pile of Fido's #2 can ruin even the brightest day.  So please be a good neighbor and bring a scooper and baggies - and throw them away in the proper trash receptacle.
  • Quiet time is from 10pm until 5am.
  • NO Pit Riding by adults or children on property other than to and from scheduled rides.

What to bring:

  • Headlamp or flashlight for after dark
  • Gas for your bike
  • Plenty of water for both on and off the trails
  • Cash for merch and the Tacoma Trail Cruisers Kitchen
  • Food if you don’t want to eat at the Tacoma Trail Cruisers Kitchen
  • All your riding gear
  • Camping gear
  • Portable phone charger (there is nowhere to charge your phone onsite)
  • Sunscreen
  • Camp chairs
  • Toolbox with essentials: spare inner tubes, chain lube, etc.
  • Doggie pooper scooper and poo baggies

Rules:

  • Name on ticket must match ID.
  • Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Helmets ON anytime a bike is in motion.
  • No SxS vehicles.
  • ATV with a maximum wheelbase of 48 inches.
  • Buddy system only! Please do not go out into the woods by yourself. There are plenty of other riders on site who would join you!
  • No drinking and riding.
  • No burn outs or hot doggin’.
  • Trash must be properly disposed of - Please help us keep the site clean.
  • ​Parking decals must stay visible in rear-views.
  • No wood burning firepits - propane firepits are allowed.  
  • No one is permitted to sell or handout anything on site (no stickers, flyers, business cards etc). We spend countless hours cleaning these items up as people trash them 99% of the time and again, it's not fair to our sponsors.
  • Everyone must pick up after their dog's poo and dispose in an appropriate trash receptacle.
  • Gate closes at 6pm sharp on Sunday. Please make sure that you're loaded up and headed home before 6pm. We will see ya next year!
